The Elevation 2001 Tour was the best. I will never forget the beginning song (E-L-E-V-A-T-I-O-N). We saw 10 shows starting from Hartford and the night they taped the DVD in Boston. One night Bono saw our sign saying: 10 shows, 10 Elevations, one Love. He was smiling and pointing to us and the all crew went bananas. For the first time we saw U2 from GA tickets in MSG, NYC during the Vertigo Tour. What a show!We are all lucky to have U2 in our life.

Great story Gio! Wow! 10 shows. LUCKY!I got the Boston dvd for Christmas! What an awesome show! It's very different from the elevation show that I saw later in the tour. My show was a couple of months after 9/11. That tragedy was so fresh on every ones minds and the show reflected the peoples feelings beautifully. It was like U2 was consoling us and encouraging us to "walk On". It was a very emotional show. And yes, thank God we have U2 in our lives. They are the best!!!

Yes they're the best in what they're doing. ...I know U2 since Boy face started showing up in music stores. I'll never forget the day I took the bus to town to go and visit my favorite music store to see what's going on about rock. Well I'm there now, standing in front of the store...and the black & white photograph of Boy got my imagination going & going...I was just trying to guess what kind of music could possibly be behind such an image. Will it be one more piece of crap?...Or is this my lucky day? The DJ inside the store knew me, and he knew what's the music I'm after. Well...it's time to go in and find out. As soon as I got close to the DJ station to shake his hand, he put the LP cover in my other hand and started to play U2. 3 seconds later my hair was on static from the music and our bodies on rock & roll mode. 10 minutes later I had to tell my friend (The DJ store) to stop playing about it. I wanted to discover the rest of the songs with my friends back in town. One hour later I was back home taping the LP on tape to play it on my portable boom box. A hour and 1/2 later I was with my crew playing U2 on the beach in front of a fire and under the stars. To be continued...? Happy New Year to all from Gio...Vision

Gio, I love your story! It brings back some memories. I had forgotten about record stores with djs. Are you from New England? I used to buy records at Strawberries. They had a dj. I think Tower Records in Boston also did...*blowing dust off of memories...Under a blood red sky was my first U2 album. I think I was 13 when I bought it. I can remember how excited I was to get home and play it. I played it over and over until it was etched into my soul.
