It's "Yaweh" dude, you're correct! Bono managed to get everyone in the band up to the front of the Ellipse to play it through. Very, very intimate with the crowd. It's a genuine moment, they're so vulnerable there, but that's even more of a reflection of the songs meaning. It's also an amazingly touching and crowd satisfying final climax before they go into playing "40" for the finalé. This is definitely going to be a "trademark" moment from here on out during the tour -- BRILLIANT!!!!

hows things Sch? were you at the gig? man it sounds like the mini set out front worked for you. is the accoustic part of the show? if so, its unusually at the end the show...1 other thing...no-one so far has really mentioned what Bono has been talking about during the show...i saw them during the Elevation tour in Paris and again in Birmingham England and on both occassions he was very chatty...of course that was during the period he was flying back to Dublin every night to be with his "Daa" (dad)..a couple of nights after the Birmingham show ( i think ) he met up with Noel Gallagher of Oasis..they ended up talking about Bob and his cancer and on the back of that B wrote "one step closer to knowing"...Sooooo, any insights into the current topics of conversion?

Hey Rho Ra ! Yeee I was at the Pheonix GIG! It's definitely a climatic moment... they're getting out into the middle of the crowd, spotlights and a little bit o' equip. If it was possible I bet they'd go totally acoustic on this and blow everyone away completely! As for the chitty chat, Bono took out a set of Rosary beads (we've seen him with them before) and held them up and asked everyone, "Do you know what this is?" Then he broke into the story of how he went to visit Pope John Paul II in the Vatican. He asked the Pope if he could have the Rosary and the Pope said "Yes, if you give me those super fly glasses." So they made the exchange and he explained and demonstrated how the Pope put on the glasses, then tilted his head to the side and smiled like Bono does. As a little tribute to the Pope, recap, he takes off the beads again at the end of the show and hangs them on the mic stand, then waves goodbye to everyone as he walks off the stage, everyone still singing "40" -- "how long.. to sing this song?.... how long...." He also made a really obscure ref while EDGE was playing guitar and said "Niles Loflin, now there's a guitar player!" busting EDGE's chops a bit. The BIGGEST topic Bono's into talking about is the ONE campaign to make AIDS and poverty history. He has the techs turnout the house lights and asks everyone in the audience who has a cell phone to hold it up in the darkness. In LA you could actually see a glow and people's faces it got so bright--like 99.999% of everyone had a damn phone! Pheonix it was more like 65%--still cool. Anyway, they flash a number up on the jumbo-quad screen and Bono asks you to text your name in and join the campaign. Note to self -- get your text message ready. Later on, the names of all the people who've texted in their names and joined ONE are scrolling across the jumbo-- gotta LOVE THAT. Be fearless -- join! But wait, there's more!!! Today, my phone gurgled a little bleep that I had a message -- OMG chickas, hold on to your hats -- it was a message from B himself! Talk about exciting!!! People, join ONE and stand up for something that you can have an impact and make a difference in doing!!! PEACE
