Waves hey fanny .....hun are you talking of the movie or the CD? ....its all good.. Back in the day my mom and I ran to the record store and bought the tape cassett (before we had CD's) drove out to the ocean cliffs and set there and wooo'd and awed over it....then when the movie hit the big screen there was no holding us back we were in U2 phoria.....it was crazy and wildly fun.... All you gals and guys have fun.... well duh! of course your about to see the greatest band in the world .... :))

Ok Fanny here's a tid bit of trivia...at the second half of the movie when it turns to color and they've moved on to Tempe, Arizona and the closing of the USA tour I'm there....when it pans the stadium me and my mom were in private box seating (sort of lit in yellow light around the middle of stadium seating area) off to the right of the stage...this was for the second show... then for the first night we were right next to that big tent thing on the ground ...it rained on us the first night and my mom and I didn't even realise it ! we were so into u2...the guys next to us who had come in from Illinois pointed it out to us and we burst out laughing......wow we were U2 mesmorized.... the second night Bono fell off the stage where the camera's track was located and we thought 'uh oh' but then he got back up and continued... big relief the darn thing was a big drop.... Earlier in that tour he'd fallen and I think he dislocated his collarbone...poor baby.....in those days he was a wild dancin man.....the shows were awesome but in the film we only get a tiny bit of what actually went on....the first nights Bad was the best I've ever heard and believe me I've heard it alot.... wish they'd get off the stick and release all those concerts on film cause the turd birds (PHIL J. or whoever) has all of it....ok I'll stop sniveling.... *grinning* .....grrr ...Oh by the way the guys that sat next to us the first night met Bono earlier in the week on Thursday afternoon (gee I still remember that!!) in the stadiums parking lot and when they told Bono they had no tickets for the second show and that they had hitch-hiked from Illinois....so Bono gave them front row seat tickets and sure enough the next night we could see them right down there next to the stage...pretty freakin cool huh!.......hugs to Fanny grrr

Yeppa the first and last time I ever got on a plane...*shudders*.... but the pilot when we were getting ready to come into the Arizona airport said over the speaker "well to all going to U2 concert have a great time tonight.. most of the plane broke out in cheering....everyone was going to the concert ;) .... our hotel a Holiday Inn was loaded with u2 people and the town being on or by a University campus was even crazier...people were blasting out balcony terraces u2 music every where you walked...it was awesome.....hugs to Fanny...

OH, Kitty youre soooo lucky that you have been to all these shows and I wasted my years on only shit! Hate myself for that. Wonder why my brothers never went to a U2 show while they went at every other musical journey that was on the way and took me with them.....stupid asses they are ;-) luv them!!!!

Oh soulie your story was sooo much fun to read. I can only imagine how fun that must have been. I hope my daughter remembers her first U2 concert and has great memories. I usually would not give any,as they say air time" to that Jerk that calles himself "U2 Pimp" but girls do you notice that when women fawn over any male,not just celebrities,that guys always have to say something lame like that guy did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but we girls have to listen to their crap about models and big boobed women all the time........That guy is just a classic insecure, as the British would say "Twat" chew on that one u2 pimp!!
