Yep, I googled for his name and he indeed is a newspaper guy. I think he was not in the crowd, but in a kind of separated circle.I already thought it would be impossible to make pictures of this quality with a simple 3.2 megapxel cam :)

the separated circle you are talking about is called the bomb shelter. they only let in 4000 people there=)

I know, though I didn't know you call it that way. We were in this "bomb shelter" as well (we were standing next to the B-stage), and yes, we ran like hell :). Though every few yards in the stadion a steward is standing who's yelling "Easy! Easy! Don't run!". We ran past them as fast as we could, of course ;)But I thought that the press guys are in another circle, between this bomb shelter and the stage. The same circle as where the security is standing. At least that was the case here in Amsterdam, I think.

It wasn't that hard to get into that "bomb shelter". We were at the stadion at 11.00 and we made it without any problem. And it's worth it :D

...great for you Laura....in italy people were outdside the stadium from the day beforeeee....and when they opened the gate it was terrible....run and run and run.....how long was that bloody GA!......but I have no doubt....It was worth to it!...when they were here on Pop tour 97 they played in an airport and we run for two kilometres.....jeeeezzzzz

Speaking of that frend of mine (she's my working colleague), there's a funny U2-story behind our friendship.You see, when I started at work, she and me didn't get along very well for some reason... She was even being a bit mean to me, unnecessarily. Anyway, one day I was reading some newspaper where there was some little gossip about U2, and I commented it to her, saying something -what I thought was funny- about them. She told me to stop making fun of her favourite band, and I was like, nonono, now you got things all wrong, I'm a fan too and so on... After that we had a long discussion about U2's music, we found that we have lot of things in common and ever since that we have been quite good friends, even if she is almost 20 years older than me. So, music (or U2), is really connecting people...

Oh me, I was born in 1983, so I'm 22 now. How old are you, if I may ask the same question?

Who wouldn't....By the way, I just finished reading "Killing Bono", I think Neil McCormick is quite interesting personality, almost as interesting as Bono (ok ok, let's not get carried away with that). I like the way he tried to get a hang of his dream, you know, not giving up... And there was many funny details about U2-gang.. It would probably be really hard to be friends with Bono&Co.. Altough I wouldn't mind giving a go for that..

Paul Hewson, Dave Evans, Adam Clayton, Ivan McCormick, Dick Evans all joined Larry Mullen Jr. at his house where they talked, play a couple covers, and decided to form a band called Feedback.
