I make clothing, so I always see the details. When I was at the concert in California, I could see those cute zippers through my binoculars!!! Love at first site.

Yes I do. I don't do it for work though. My daughter who is 15,gets to wear all of my fun creations. She sees something she likes and I try to make it for her. Everyone at her school is wondering where she is getting all her cool clothes :) At the end of the year,everyone wrote in her Year book that they just could not wait to get to a certain class that they shared with her to see what she was wearing. When I was in university I made costumes for the theater department also. We made clothes that look a lot like the one Bono is wearing in this. I could make this jacket if I wanted to. I love it and I could sit all day and make clothing.

I study Tex D&T, and am currently creating a punk mini dress.. I make some of my own clothes, and personalise all of my clothes (after all, there's not much of a punk market over here these days!), but I wish I had the patience to make clothes for other people!! its easy when you have to make them to fit you, but other people.. oooh, you must be a calm person Oct!!

I sew too....wow thats very funny!....I use to sew all my clothes when I was in about 9th grade on.... later tons of baby clothes baby quilts and crib bumpers (decorative)...and little tykers jumpers.... mostly now all I make are designer barbie dolls...hair makeup.. clothes and accessories....hihihi :) .... made a punk barbie and bought a Spike doll (from TV Angel whom btw looks amazingly like Billy Idol !! ..lol ) and they look cool in my doll cabinet..the hardest craft I've tried is creating and making tiny jewlry it is a beotch!....I'll tell you my dad had a sewing machine that work great on leather but it took a bad turn and my machine doesn't sew leather worth a damn...I'd have trouble with those jacket sleeves unless I did it by hand ...yuk!...Wait are the lower half of those sleeves leather or does it just look like that on this photo?...gotta go run and see.....

Sewing is the most fun. It is a lost art though and can be turned into nerd land,but my stuff is super cool and I love making anything difficult!! I've made huge renaissance dresses. , My kids had the best Halloween costumes on the block. Soulie,have you seen the cute barbie doll patterns in Vouge? Adorable!!! I think the sleeves on this do like leather. My machine can't sew leather either. My big plan is to get a Bernina machine!! Those are the best!! I use to design childrens clothing also. I made coats and all kids of neat things. I also love Embroidery,but not cross stitch. I like the more free form embroidery,kind of like painting with thread. Right now I'm working on a baby present,but I have other things that are waiting in the wings. I brought back some very beautiful embroidery patterns from France,that I can't wait to do. So, you and Kat and I can make U2's costumes if they get into some problems with the current people.

Just the other day I was thinking about this site and I came to the conclusion that you Soulie are the Queen of this site. I get all your stories and they truly are a hoot. I won't even try to come up with a story unless I am inspired by something that I can add to. My oldest daughter is a writer and has a very creative mind like yours,so I get all the funny things about your stories. And you Sushi, I'm always impressed with your word usage and the way that you write for your age,don't sell yourself short girlfriend. I would never know that you were only 12!! I think, when I get time,I may go back and check some of Soulie's old stories out if they are all on here still in the Elevation tour. I have read some and they are fun. Is writing your profession,without giving too much away about yourself,do you write for magazines etc...?

Hey Soulie, I got ya! I thought if I would write something outrageous, I would get something out of you. If you do write historical romances, that is cool. I love reading those. My oldest daughter is obcessed with them. One of my favorite historical /novelist is Margaret George. I loved how she wrote Mary Queen of Scots. When I went to Scotland last year and saw all the places she wrote about, it was exactly how she wrote them. My daughter loved "Cleopatra" and I also haven't yet read" Mary Magdalene",but can't wait. I can understand how you woudn't want anyone to know about anything else,so I won't bug.
