Soulie I was just behind this guy,he had a poster in his hand where was written " italian lesson: ROME IS MEJO!"...mejo in our slang means Better.and B looked at him and said come up,so he did!I could see B whispering sthg in his ears like in the picture!That was a very nice moments...but as I wrote in the other pic I saw him in the hotel's bar in Rome,best moment of my life!...He was sitting drinking something (with his wife) and two friends,when he stood up I just followed him and I said .."Hi Bono,see tomorrow night"...he gave me the best smile I ever saw!The conc was great,I was in the middle of the two platforms moving from one side to another..he sang Sometime you can make it on your own just in front of me...unbelievable...and during Vertigo and Pride in particular the stadium seemed to fall down!...never forget it!

I forgot to tell you that I arrived to the stadium at 6.00 a.m. but there were people from the day before...in my opinion the edge's side platform is much better!...

Ehi Soulie...breathe!...If you see the other pic of Rome there's mine taken when he was leaving the hotel (after the bar..)and he was looking like that...black pants,light-blue shirt,hat and glasses but at the bar he was without,he's got beautiful eyes..yes he was with Ali (nice!) the two daughters and two friends,I just followed him when he stood up,a girl that was with me took a pic with him and he was kind to us even if really tired and with no voice...I almost risked an heart attack but then i did calm down and enjoyed the moment.I was lucky because I have a paparazzo friend he called me on cell and told me the hotel,I just drove to and walked in,fortunately I was well dressed and the concierge probably thought I was a tourist,you know I don't really look like an italian coz I'm fair-haired girl (most here are brown...)..about the spot i took in the show I told ya I got there at 6.00 am but the evening before there were about 200 people who slept outside...this is Italy...but it was worth to it!I had such a great time coz there were people from all Italy and we spent the day talking,joking and singing all the time..I was by myself btu I met two guys from Milan that were in both milan shows and the knew perfectly how the show worked...I think Edge's side is better,he sang there All I want is you,Sometimes you can make it on your own and Elevation,the two milan guys suggested me to stay between the two platforms and we moved from one side to another there was enough room to do that..what else can I say..oh..I took some pics but my bloody camera and my cell run out of battery (it was a long day then!) but I'm happy the same...the best souvenir of all this is the big smile he gave me in the hotel when I told him "see you tomorrow night!".....unforgettable!

Oh hun your story is a keeper.... meeting and making new friends that share the U2 luv is what its all about...*hug*...so enjoyed your story I was living it with you....hey it pays to know people that know where the action is !!!! Girl we use to sleep out here in america in big crowds too til the authorities really kind of put a halt to prolonged gatherings.. : (....I have to ask when you first spotted him did you have time to study him or did he get up right when you got there? you must have seriously had a frantic panic attack even if it only lasted a few moments!..lol ....gaaaa... thanks for the sharing of your story and the photos hun your a true u2 babe.... yippie!!!! grrrrr

...I firstly found his room level (the sixth!) coz I thought rockstars take suites...and usually they are on top floor...I just went up pretending to be an hotel guest and smile to everybody I met..it's easy..then I saw a man in blacksuit standing in front of a room speaking english to a cell,Isaid hi and he told me he was from Ireland....that was him...the bodyguard!I went returned down and waited for them,drinked a whiskey (I really needed it!!!) and then the miracle happened...my heart was riding like a wild horse!...all you need is a "paparazzo" friend,nice butt..oopps... and smile and you're in!...I did the same thing last month with Duran Duran and the Blue...ok is not U2 but trust me you have fun as well...Soulie next tour come here to me...hugs!

At our concert in San Jose California, He stayed at the Fairmont Hotel in the same city. The following day there was the funniest article in my home town paper on how these middle aged women were staying in the same hotel and had been at the concert as well. They did all these secret agent things to try and get to the upper rooms. Once they did they didn't see him. One of the girls got stuck in the bar and did see Larry ordering a drink. They tried to get in the dinning area where they were and could not. Then before the night was over, one of them did see Bono walking down the hall right past her. They said their night was now complete,but the funniest part was that, when they were roaming all over the hotel. They,our men, were in the lobby by the piano most of the night where their escapade started!!! It had me laughing big time. When they are in Oakland this time I'm wondering if they will stay in San Francisco or in Oakland. There may be one hotel that would be a luxury one in Oakland, but I don't know. If I were them I would stay in S.F. not in Oakland.

in amsterdam, everybody knew where they would stay, but there was a pic in the paper.... about 50 ppl were waiting mornin of the 2nd concert in front of the hotel! And his sweetness bono was relaxed and nice and gave autographs and pics and stuff... man, my parents didnt want to lemme go there:(

Oh Soulie you don't have to tell your age. I think I'm a wierdo since I don't care if anyone knows my age. I think I'm just happy to have lived 43 years and I like to celebrate all of them. I never liked being in my twenties, I guess I was an old soul. I'm loving my 40s.I think it is funny to see all the ages on here though. I feel like I missed a bit of U2 while I was struggeling with finnishing college and having children. Now I think that they won't be out there that much longer and I missed all the fun of their youth and all the other concerts.Although I had fun reading about Bono and Ali's struggles wen U2 was first started. Bono and Ali married in 82 and I was married in 83,so some of the things he said about the early days reminds me of mine. anyway, life is short,celebrate all the wonderful years you have been on this planet!!!!!

hi slate! my first live concert was the one few days ago;-) the first song I heard with U2 was beautiful day,but I didn't know that they had made it,didn't know there even was a band called U2!then a few years later,I heard Vertigo on TV so many times. Everytime I had the volume so high,I think I blow my family's ears off=) then I decided to buy the cd,cos' this sounded like good music. so I bought the cd,and it only took me a week or so to become a crazy U2 fan:) I started to look at the internet to find out some more about this guys,how they looked and some facts. that's how I ended up here=)Love from Fanny..

Ha hahahah, I did the same Soulcat! I looked forever on this site through all the pics to find "The bigbeautifulman" and finally a light bulb came on. I have not stopped laughing yet with that video. It made my day!! I love how that guy goes for it big time when Bono come's back to him :) Bono's face is so cute as he smiles. You can also see Adam dying on the stage when they pan back up. As you can see I have watched it several times also.:)

lol I hate it that I couldnt come on yesterday, commenting this site is a day job for me from now on^^ beware of my useless messages... well boomie, you're right about the useless feeling you have, but for me it was worse, cuz I came here during vertigo, and started with elevation, so even IF I'd comment anything, it's old and it wouldn be seen(I didnt knew about the last commented thingy ^^) .... well, I discovered u2 due to a friend.. I liked songs of them like beautiful day(their first and last no1 hit here in holland :( stupid ppl won't put more u2 songs on no1><)and when they had HTDAAB, my friend and I were talking about vertigo or so, and he said his dad downloaded it, so I asked a copy, and became into them... and it got worse and worse.. I fell in love with the band... and now I'm a u2freak with 7 albums.. but I want them all non-copied, so I've a loing way to go.. I have War, Achtung Baby and Zooropa real... only 11 more to buy then.. I'm prolly going to buy the U2 ipod or so... ^^ my mp3player is 265 mb, and stuffed,.. that sucsk.. ><

Hey Ingrid. I still need to buy some more of the cds to complete my collection. I still need Boy, zooropa,Pop,and others that I can't think yet.Rattle and Hum..etc. I have to laugh at how this picture that we are commenting on is nothing special. There are quite a few on here, when people look to see why there are so many, it will disapoint them to read our ramblings :)

how do you know they are on?well I still need: Boy, october, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, under a blood red sky(dunno where he belongs^^) Rattle and Hum, passengers(even tho it's not real u2) and Thee Best of 1990-2000...and I need the next albums in real, I only have copies of them: Best of 1980-90, PoP, ATYCLB and HTDAAB... :(

haha. for christmas my mom got my dad HTDAAB and he was like "Cool, wow the new U2 CD!!" and I said "What? What's U2?" cue explanation, i became interested, downloaded it onto iPod, listened listened listened and then four months later went to a concert and by then I had been a full-fledged U2 frickin fanatic for three months.I have Boy, War, UF, JT, R&H, AB, Zooropa, ATYCLB and HTDAAB. =DD hehe... my mom is so nice to me. She bought ALL of these!! =P I love my mommy...fanny that is SO cool we must have some weird karma or something!! both wintery people... yes I love winter!! SKIING!!! =DD lol

OMG sushi, Your parents are awesome!!! mine don't listen to u2, my dad likes the songs he hears on radio and such, my mom likes some too, but they dobnt buy it, and I have to buy all their albums by myself...:(

I love the winters too,and skiing! that's the best exept my beloved snowboard=)and sushi,so cool that both of us discovered U2 after HTDAAB!!=)well at home my family got to listen to U2 sometimes when I play it=) but I mostly have to use some headphones,hehe;)I can't imagine how life would be without music? how sad would that be!at the concert I started to cry almost everytime bono opened his mouth to speak,because everything he said was so beautiful,and you could see that he really meant what he said and it all came right from his heart...=)

lol, I discovered them after HTDAAB too!btw, I was googling bono, and I found a roflin article on a spanish site, with a picture of bono in his naked butt... ^^ his bum isnt even that big, but it IS sexy^__^
