This pic reminds me of such a good time!!!!When I was in the Amsterdam Arena at their concert, Bono was singing Zoo station with these clothes on, right in front off me!! He was only standing about 2 meters away from me!And it was so cute, when he began to sing and suddendly the lights were shining on him, he said so sweet staring at the lights above: ..thank you..with that cute smile..Aaah! How I loved that moment :)

Yes, I am back from 3 amazing shows in 4 days with 2 front row ellipses (Adam's mic) and one outer ellipse in the step platform where I got to support Bono twice.. running late for work, but I have finally answered his question and am no longer the girl with no name. What's strange is that now the 20,000 people in Pittsburgh also know my name as he said it on mic... story later, terribly late for work :D

Ok, now I am here hard at work :P So yeah, we get to Pittsburgh and we are numbers 2, 3 and 4 in line. I beep in, all 3 of us go in, I grab my favorite spot which is JUST to the right of Bono's microphone. Show goes great. Showed Adam my "Sadly, there's no good translation for Silver Fox in Spanish" sign and he loves it. Show is great. Bono came over during BD and teased me with the ET phone home routine :D so we were both pointing our fingers at each other like we were going to touch... Finally, during "One" I whip out my '"She's a Mystery to Me" for the Girl with No Name?' Sign. Bono reads it as he's strumming his guitar, looks down on the floor and gets the biggest SMILE. I put my sign down. Towards the end of the song, he looks at me, points and off mic said something like "ok, just for you" or something like that. I understood it at the time but my brain has seized functioning properly since then. As he did that I then realized there was a shot of him doing it and started to change over to the sign that I had made in case he DID play it, which read "Oh, by the way, the name is Miroslava. Thank You!" My hands were shaking, so my friend had to help me out :P So One ends and he gets this look like he's trying to figure out what to do and then he sees the sign with the name and laughs again. So he looks at me and says on the mic, "this one (or this is) for you Miroslava" and launches onto Ol' Man River... :D

very smart those signs!!!!!! gawd your stories really make me happy!! so cool that he recognized you ^^ and you even interacted a bit with adam, first time we hear that on this tour!

Adam is VERY interactive! VERY much so! He even thanked my friend and I after the second Detroit show cause I made about 5 different crazy signs for us to show him as a combined effort during the Pitts and Detroit shows :D

Thanks susanne, New York City is about 4 hours drive and they are playing in Hartford Connecticut too. Thats about 6 hours drive. I am determined to make atleast one or two of them. I will bring my camera again, but I don't know if I will get into the ellips again. That was like winning the lottery!

Patty I hope to get out there soon, I've always wanted to go. I've been to New York and my dad lived in Princeton area ,but that is all I've seen of the east coast.

well doctor, it's like htis... whenever I hear or see the words U2/bono/edge/larry/adam.. I get this tingly feeling all over my body.. and I HAVE to listen to their music every day, just freak out if I don't,.... and when I see pictures of this hot man called bono... Yes, as much as I appreciate all the political and world saving-stuff they are doing, it is very nice to know how they are spending their free time. But well, probably they want to keep at least some privacy.. Talking about this, I'd like to buy some book, U2-biography, but while I was surfing in bookstores' sites there were way too many U2-books. Which U2-biography is the best, worth buying????

I'm not sure about which one is good, i really enjoyed the Killing Bono book,since it went all the way back to where they started and from a friends perspective. It shows what a cool cat he always was to this friend though out the years.also, wouldn't you like to know a bit more about Larry and Adam's kids too. I guess old Edge lives only a mile away from B man.

I though Neil's book was pushed back in the printing. I haven't seen that it is out yet. I would love to have that one,since he is a very funny writer. I also think the book on what the lyrics mean is a good one,you often don't know what a lyrisist is thinking about when they are writing the song,and this would be neat. Although sometimes you get your own thoughts for the song and when you read it you go'"Wow I was way off on that" I heard the one Laura Jackson wrote is OK, there is one my sister was reading that she didn't think was so great, now i can't remember. Of course the converstation one is more political and only give some insight on Bono. I liked it though.

If you go to Neil McCormick on amazon, it says that the book is called U2 by U2 and it has a photo of the cover,but it says not yet published. It was suppose to come out this past September, but I think it is going to come out in the spring now. I'm not sure

I don't think I would like to read the lyric book. I think the most special thing about U2's music is the way that it makes you feel and that you can interpret the lyrics to relate to your own life. It seems to have different meanings for each person. If you knew what they were thinking when they wrote it, you may not feel the same way about the song. You may just look at it from their view. Just a thought.

Luv coffee , and I am happy to say that I also have the incurable U2 virus...Ingrid , I know of a great book you would enjoy , but it's from the Zoo TV days , is that to old . it has very funny and wild stories , it's U2 AT THE END OF THE WORLD by Bill Flanagan.. maybe Oct or Soulcat have read it and can comment about it ?????
