His first appearance with a brazilian jacket was in 2006/02/20 Sao Paulo show. That`s only the second tour brought to Brazil. The first was Popmart Tour in early 1998...

Hey Ingrid & Oct2-personally,i think that's a sheet of paper-with that nights scheduled set-list of songs to be played(in Bonos back pocket).As you know U2 always vary their set at these live gigs,and it's really just a reminder to him of what songs and what order!A good example of this can be seen at the start of U2's Vertigo-live in Chicago DVD,when the Edge is playing the start of 'City of Blinding Lights'-you can see his set-list of songs taped to the floor!!!It's just the fact that Bono sings so many different songs on different nights,and in different order he can glance at a sheet of paper during the gig!Either that or it's a facecloth!!

it is very rare if it would be a setlist... since Bono's setlist is near the micstand, one at each monitor on the main stage... can be seen at chicago, and older dvds, since that position has always been so... I think it might be a message he got from a fan..

Taht makes sense, since Ingrid is right about where the set list is. Also at the Oakland show the set list and the speaches he was going to make along with the chords Bono was suppose to play were on a telepromptor low to the stage. That was the only plus of the crappy seats I had, I knew which song was coming up and anything else that Bono was going to say. There was a prompt on there at one point that he was going to talk about Africa and he ignored it.

Thats what i thought too. He always says some words in the countrys language and so he can do it where ever he is on the stage...weve seen some of the pics before didnt we??

yeah, I heard he once had a full speech in french... can't remember where, can't remember what.. but it was pretty cool... and in a version of Still haven't found.. from 1990, he tries some dutch... we heard him try german at the mediapreis... XD Bono's languages are pretty good ^^
