U2's Montreal #2 setlist, 13/06
Tonight, U2 performed their second of four shows in Montreal. If you missed the first night's proceedings, catch up here.
This show featured a big surprise: the live debut of Lucifer's Hands, from the second disc of the deluxe edition of Songs Of Innocence. Beforehand, Bono said that "we want to do something that we've never played before, because it's good to do things you haven't done before. If it goes wrong, blame it on The Edge." Interestingly, on the printed set Volcano - which has only appeared twice on tour - was listed rather than Lucifer's Hands. This is the 39th song U2 have performed so far on the Innocence + Experience Tour; counting the Roxy show as well, it is the 41st song U2 have played in the last month.
Fans have already posted videos of Lucifer's Hands to YouTube. Watch one angle here and another below:
Bad returned to the setlist after an absence of six shows. The end of Beautiful Day featured a snippet of Moment Of Surrender, and then Bono sang an even longer snippet of it during Bad. Angel Of Harlem returned after missing four shows, with a fan brought on stage to play Edge's guitar at the end. Out Of Control and One returned after missing one show each; One was dedicated to Win Butler and Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire, who were in attendance. This performance of Out Of Control means it has already been performed more times on the current tour than on the entire 360 Tour: seven performances to six.
