U2 Brazil tour shirt - what does it mean?
Here's something a little unusual: U2.com is currently advertising a "U2ie Tour Brazil Logo" women's t-shirt.
There's a problem. The Innocence + Experience Tour does not have any Brazil dates scheduled. The only forthcoming dates are those on the current European leg.
Rumours have for a while suggested there will be a South American leg in 2016. These rumours have generally suggested a visit would take place later in the year, perhaps around November. There has also been a recent rumour via U2Valencia (in Spanish) that U2 will tour Europe, North America, and Oceania in arenas in 2016, bumping South America to 2017 (thus contradicting other rumours that Oceania won't be until 2017).
So what does the listing of this shirt mean? Is it a harbinger of an impending announcement? A simple mistake? A play on the shirt's colour that also cruelly raises the hopes of South American fans? An attempt to corner the Brazilian t-shirt market well ahead of time?
