New rumours of U2 returning to Europe in 2016
There is only about a month and a half of the Innocence + Experience Tour to go this year, but it is increasingly likely this will not be the end of the tour. Some new rumours have surfaced about the band's plans for 2016.
First, the broad general news. U2Valencia have tweeted (in Spanish) that the third leg will be in Europe. It will begin in March 2016. This aligns with some previous rumours.
U2Valencia have also reported (in Spanish) a specific rumour for Spanish fans. This rumour suggests that U2 will perform in Madrid as part of the next European leg, most probably at the Barclaycard Centre.
Meanwhile U2Achtung have reported (in French) a rumour of interest to Russian fans. This rumour claims that U2 will return to Moscow in 2016, following their first ever Russian gig on 25 August 2010. Unlike that show, which was in stadiums, a 2016 visit if it comes to fruition will be indoors.
Speculation is rife among fans that 2016 tour dates will be announced in mid-November, possibly in conjunction with the HBO broadcast of U2 live in Paris. However, at the moment we have no actual source to suggest this belief (as plausible as it may be) is accurate.
