This post has been updated.
U2's Paris shows scheduled for 14/11 and 15/11 at the AccorHotels Arena have been POSTPONED after the horrific attacks in the city. Bono just talked to Dave Fanning on RTE 2FM confirming both dates are postponed. Here is full audio of the interview. Harry Kantas just tweeted that Dallas confirmed this to him as well here. The official confirmation has now been updated and is here.
There are no details yet on when the shows will be rescheduled. The official statement says "U2 and Live Nation, along with HBO who were due to live broadcast the Saturday concert, are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time."
A statement from the band expresses their horror at the attacks. "We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight." The full statement is in the U2.com article linked above.
We here at U2gigs are also deeply saddened by the tragic events in Paris and we extend our sympathy and best wishes to all those affected. We are grateful to have heard from so many people in the city that they are alive and well, and we hope all other fans are unharmed and in a safe place. Look after each other, folks.
