Today U2 performed their third of four shows in São Paulo. It is the first time this tour that they have performed more than two shows in the same city.

There was one change in the setlist from what the band performed at the previous three concerts: Mysterious Ways returned, after being missing in action since its last performance a month and a half ago on 8 September in Minneapolis. It had been soundchecked before a number of shows lately, but not played. This is the first time it has appeared in the same setlist as You're the Best Thing About Me.

On account of wet weather, Bono snippeted Rain during Bad. In Beautiful Day he sang a snippet of The Girl from Ipanema, the music of which was composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim—yesterday, Bono sang a snippet of another Jobim song, Waters of March.

I Still Haven't Found ended with a snippet of Stand By Me. This snippet, once fairly commonplace, has been rare this year: Bono has sung it on three other occasions on the Joshua Tree Tour 2017, the most recent of which was about a fortnight ago on 10 October.

Also, an interview with U2 was broadcast on Brazilian TV. Recorded on 17 October in São Paulo on the rooftop of the TV Globo studios, U2 performed Ordinary Love and Vertigo acoustically, and Bono and Adam sat down for a chat. This is the first time U2 have performed Ordinary Love in almost two years—the last occasion was the second-last gig of the Innocence + Experience Tour on 6 December 2015—though Edge performed it with a choir in the Vatican City on 30 April 2016.
