Mexico Opener: The Secret Machines
(U2.com) -- Got tickets for any of the three shows in Mexico next month? Word reaches us that the very wonderful The Secret Machines will be playing support.
Originally from Dallas, the three members of The Secret Machines - brothers Brandon and Benjamin Curtis and friend Josh Garza - have been gaining massive critical acclaim in recent months. According to Rolling Stone, 'They take Pink Floyd psychedelia, Led Zeppelin stomp, and Who-inspired choruses and charge them full of big-rock beats, atmospheric keyboards and all kinds of electronic whooshes.'
They've already toured with Foo Fighters, Spiritualized and Oasis and last summer with the Kings Of Leon, no strangers to the Vertigo stage. 10 Silver Drops, their second album is set for an April release while its first single, 'Alone, Jealous and Stoned', was released a couple of weeks back.
