U2's fourth night on Letterman
Today, the band played for the last time on the Late Show with David Letterman, as the Friday episode was taped back on Monday. At all the previous tapings, the band played songs from the new album - Breathe, Magnificent, Crazy Tonight, and for Friday's broadcast, Get On Your Boots. However, for tonight's episode, they returned to some slightly older material. They performed Beautiful Day for the episode, then continued with Vertigo just for the studio audience. Beautiful Day was dedicated to Joey Ramone and the rest of the Ramones, and Bono included snippets of two Ramones songs at the end: Rock 'n' Roll High School and I Remember You.As we reported yesterday, Letterman also conducted an interview with the band.

Also on today's episode of Letterman, U2 did a skit where they performed some "on hold" music:
Don't forget that in the morning, the band are playing a short set at Fordham University on Good Morning America. We will aim to do a live setlist as per usual, although no guarantees. The set will be up as soon as possible, whatever the case. Stay tuned!
