Openers for concerts in Montreal, New Jersey, and Europe
U2.com's tour page has been updated with opening bands for many of this year's upcoming concerts.
The opener at most North American concerts had already been announced, with only the shows in Montreal on 16 and 17 July and the show in East Rutherford on 19 July unannounced. Rumours have circulated online that Arcade Fire would open in Montreal, but these are evidently not true. U2.com have listed Interpol as the opener for all three shows.
As for the European concerts, only two concerts had confirmed openers - 30 August in Vienna and 15 September in Munich, both featuring OneRepublic. U2.com have added openers for almost all the remaining European dates. They are:
Kasabian: Turin, Frankfurt, Hannover
Snow Patrol: Moscow, Athens, Istanbul
OneRepublic: Zurich I, Zurich II
Interpol: Paris, Brussels I, Brussels II, San Sebastian, Seville, Coimbra I, Coimbra II, Rome
Now the only 2010 shows without an opener announced are the two in Horsens and two in Helsinki.
Update: Snow Patrol has subsequently been confirmed for the two Horsens concerts as well, and the Helsinki shows will be opened by Razorlight.
