Bono sings at funeral of Sargent Shriver
Yesterday, Bono performed at the funeral of R. Sargent Shriver, an American statesman and activist who was the first director of the Peace Corps and, through marriage, was related to the Kennedy family.
Bono was one of multiple musicians to perform, including frequent collaborator Wyclef Jean. However, this time Bono performed with Glen Hansard of The Swell Season (with whom he recently busked in Dublin on 24 December 2010). Hansard played guitar while Bono sung Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace, an adaptation of the Prayer Of St Francis, a prayer of unknown origin that is commonly attributed to St Francis of Assisi.
