Today, U2 performed in Salt Lake City. This is just the second time U2 have played a stadium gig in Utah, after their Popmart jaunt on 3 May 1997. The band did not do a soundcheck today, but the crew soundchecked extensively. Songs checked by the crew included (in no particular order) Zooropa, City Of Blinding Lights, Pride, Moment Of Surrender, the Space Oddity intro, Even Better Than The Real Thing, Beautiful Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, part of The Fly, guitar bits from New Year's Day and Vertigo, and "something acoustic". Before you get too excited about that mention of The Fly, the crew have been known to soundcheck songs U2 have no intention of performing, and in the past this has included The Fly.

Even though it was not included in the printed setlist, the show included a rare performance of Love Rescue Me, just the fourth this tour. Afterwards, Bono led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday for Bob Dylan in honour of his 70th birthday; besides this and Love Rescue Me (which was co-written with Dylan), the intro of Streets featured a couple of snippets in his honour.

Otherwise the setlist was unchanged from Denver, with I Will Follow, All I Want Is You, Stay, and Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me all holding on to their sometimes rotational setlist places. The full setlist was:
