U2 to play Quebec City?
The rumour mill has fired up today courtesy of Le Journal de Montréal. They report (in French) that U2 may perform on 6 June 2015 at the Plains of Abraham, Quebec City. The paper suggests this show could be announced as soon as tomorrow.
U2's nearest shows to this date are 3 June in Los Angeles beforehand and 12 June in Montreal afterwards. Rumours regarding the original tour schedule suggested there would be up to eight shows in LA, with the final three on 4, 7, and 8 June. However, the five LA shows announced so far have sold slower than expected, so it is possible that U2 may have organised an extra show(s) elsewhere to fill the gap.
Hence this Quebec City rumour is a little surprising, but not beyond the realms of possibility. We will let you know if anything is confirmed. If the rumour does come true, it will be U2's first ever visit to Quebec City - in fact, it will be their first ever show anywhere in Quebec outside of Montreal.
