Comments: The noise from the concert was so loud it set off an earthquake alarm and caused multiple nearby residents to phone local police and fire stations in alarm. This was not the first time U2 set off seismometers; the same had previously happened on 27 October 1984 at a concert in Brussels. One spectator and one policeman were taken to hospital, and several others treated at the stadium, after clashes between gate-crashers and police during the day. The gates were opened to spectators without tickets as U2 took the stage.
