Comments: Bono sang at the funeral of his friend (and U2's tour manager) Greg Carroll at Kai Iwi Marae near Whanganui. He was accompanied on violin by Gavin Buxton of the Ponsonby DCs. Greg, who was Māori, was given a traditional Māori funeral. He was a member of the Rātana Church, and the local Rātana choir also performed at the funeral. Leading the choir was Greg's uncle Dalvanius Prime, a famous New Zealand performer.
