Wow, that's a nice shot! And look at the water bottles all lined up. Somebody's doing their job with great care, so it seems. ;-)
From: Tanja on 2005-07-28 11:21:50
what is in it? irish whiskey? ;)
From: Ingrid on 2005-07-28 17:33:40
hm.. dont think so.. whisky is more yellow/orange/brownish.... prolly Vodka or water...and since alcohol isnt that great when you can't leave the stage for a bathroom trip, I guess it's water!
From: Octu2 on 2005-07-28 19:10:51
Larry looks so nice in this photo!! And his hair is shorter. I think this suits him much better.
From: lizeth on 2005-07-28 20:45:25
It is a great shot, and Larry looks good in almost every picture ;). I know nothing about drums, but they look very beautiful.
From: Boomie on 2005-07-28 21:01:04

From: lizeth on 2005-07-28 21:12:45

From: Boomie on 2005-07-28 21:19:15

From: Ingrid on 2005-07-28 21:31:38
well, I have a very cool and cute music teacher who is in a band himself* HE HAS A FENDER STRATOCASTER!!!* and he did Vertigo at a talent show at our school... he likes u2...Ok back to the drums, and uh boomie... I'd say, the thing you have the pedal for, is called Base drum, or as larry calls it kickdrum.. the one with the snarey sound*mostly in COBL and sunday bloody sunday* is called Snare.. then you have the lil tom, big tom, the cymbals, and the hi-hats.. and he has also a tambourine in it, for several special sounds^^ well, that's all I can remember for now
From: sushi on 2005-07-28 21:35:38
oh that's funny... someone did Vertigo for a talent show? Someone at my school sang Vertigo for the talent show.. and it was hilarious. He tried to sound exactly like Bono but he was doing a terrible job... i was cracking up!!!!!!!!
From: lizeth on 2005-07-28 21:38:08
Thanks Ingrid. I would love to learn how to play the drums, but with all that stuff it looks complicated.
From: Larry smiled at the concert!! on 2005-07-28 22:15:00

I think he was worn out cuase in an interview a few days later he said that some of the fast-paced songs were really wearing him out and on top of his wrist problem, that must've really sucked for him... oooo one of your pies would've really done him good Fanny!! lol =D
From: Fanny on 2005-07-29 00:30:57
sushi, don't forget to breathe now!yes he laughed a bit when bono was talking about the edge coming from the future, and Adam said something to him during the show that seemed to be very funny, cos he really had a good laugh then=) and I forgot to tell something, when bono talked about the future thing he said:everything is going to be alright, right edge?<--(I know I have said this before)when he said this right, edge? The edge said yes,and everyone started to laugh=D *sigh, wannagoback, wannagoback*

well, that teacher played the guitar and did the vocals, and it was awesome... I'm still supposed to get a tape, if I have it, I try to get it on e-net or so... but the only thing I can say with a bono accent is 'this is fuckin' brilliant*smile**evil glare from all media persons*" I bet nobody can pronounce Extraordinary just like him... simply impossible
From: Kat on 2005-07-29 22:59:33
I just got into a new Band today!.. my previous band got a bit messy, but i was totally exstatic to be asked to be the lead singer of this other band. It would've been good if they needed a bassist or guitarist too, but you can't have it all :).. I play a bit of drums, not that good though, lol.. you actually have two small toms, and the big one is a floor tom. You only have one hi-hat on a standard kit, and you have a ride and splash symbol as standard, but you can get others.. just wish I could play good though!! this is a cute pic btw :)
From: Kat on 2005-07-29 23:07:41
Woah.. i sound kinda big headed there.. Apologies for that, there's nothing I hate worse *wonders if i'm turning into my worst nightmare*.. blame in on the alcohol and excitement, lol *dances a jig*
From: Soulcatgirl to Kat on 2005-07-30 05:00:39
Oh Kat you silly goose not at all...hun you better keep us up to date on all thats happening with your new band now that the kitty Kat is out of the bag.. ;)) ... what covers are you doing or is all fresh? .......
From: Boomie on 2005-07-30 09:57:08
Ehem am I wrong?? you are the singer of the band??? Or not??? dont understand it!!!!! But if you are you know what happened to Bono who didnt want to be the singer (but as he couldnt play an instrument, like the others too btw)
From: Kat on 2005-07-30 11:28:35
Yes, i'm the lead singer, and I don't get to play any instruments, but i'll be standing in for anyone who gets sick, lol *murders the bassist *evil laugh*.. We're starting out with covers, but i wrote a lot of stuff for my old band thet we never got to play, so i may be throwing that into the arena, if we ever get that far!! lol
From: Kat on 2005-07-30 22:24:09
*is plotting to get some U2 covers in there too*
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-31 13:06:26
Which ones? Which ones do you sing well?...What gal singers do you like? .... I love Concrete Blond...her voice is bitch'n....;)
From: Fanny on 2005-07-31 13:28:14
playing in a band sounds so awesome! *dreamsaway* but how to start? I want to start a band but I can't play a freaking instrument! well,we have a guitar home and a keyboard...but I guess we need some drums and a baseguitar too? need some few tips here girls=)
From: Kat on 2005-07-31 13:54:32
I'm lucky, because i've grown up in a very rock band orientated (can't remember the word I was gonne use here, but nevermind!). My old band was basically punked up fury, and i was bassist/lead singer. My fav female singers are Brody Dalle and Shirely Manson. I think my voice goes best with JT stuff, or War, but I dunno, i'll try anything once, lol.. and well, you know, to be modest, i sing em all well, lmao, jk, jk. To get a band Fanny, you need to hunt out all the people that you know/live in your area, that play something, then get together and see if you can make a good noise, lol. I was lucky this time round to actually get asked, but I worked my butt off last time to build up the band, just to have it all come crashing down round my ears 6 months later!! you just gotta find a group of people who click together, and that can play hot shit.. i think its cool when bands get unusual stuff in there too, more classical instruments, then mosh them together with some distortion, and you can get some amazing sounds.. i need a nap *yawns*
From: Ingrid on 2005-07-31 22:08:53
ohh from War, definately do Like A Song... that song is SO energizing! It'd be awesome to be in a band:( but I don't have the money to afford a guitar, and I dont know anybody who possibly could sing, I know somnebody who wants to bebassist, a drummer.. but no singer.. and they wouldnt want to do u2 covers tho..
From: Soulcatgirl to Kat on 2005-08-01 02:37:04
Yes I love Manson's voice too... ;) .... btw I've been meaning to tell you remember back a few months ago when we mentioned on a few posts about Kings Of Leon...well I got their album from a friend and I really like it.....it is really a different sound I can't quite pin point it but it is different and I say I would have never bought this after seeing them live because I didn't hear in those two nights just how subtle their sound is or how unique it is....so to anyone curious i say check them out on cd I was happily surprized!!!..... Kat I so agree ... people have to be able to click in a band .....you have to be able to get along half ass or it will never work........ people have such humungus egos and jealousy's when it comes to music its unbelievable!....good luck and practice your butt off and kitty KAT...you deserve to become a ROCK n' KICKA$$STAR!!!!!!!....grrr
From: mariette on 2005-08-01 10:29:08
I play drums too. I can play Sunday Bloody Sunday :)
From: Octu2 on 2005-08-01 18:29:58
Hey Soulie, we really liked Kings of Leon when they opened for our men. Both my husband and daughter really loved them and my husband is getting that cd soon. My daughter is in love with one of the members. She couldn't get enough of looking at them through the binoculars. Glad to here you liked them. Did you hear them sing that song that was on the VW comercial? The comercial has the young couple playing music real loud ,then they buy their own home and they are dancing to the music. I heard them play that on on the April 9th show. Do you have any idea who is opening in November? I got my tickets in the mail the other day and I didn't see any info on that. My sister said that if it is the "Killers" she will die. We probably won't get them though.
From: sushi on 2005-08-01 21:45:33
I really liked Kings of Leon too. they were really funny. Lol... haha! the bassist was great... he was bashin his head around like there was no tomorrow and it was hilarious!! lol... I don't know what The Clash was like live, but I imagine it was something like Kings of Leon. =D they were great..holy friggin heck. I just now remembered what I liked about them so much... they're friends with Eddie Vedder. on their last song Eddie came onstage and started whackin the life out of two tambourines and singing, and he went through at least four tamborines total. =O it was really cool! the lead singer said "thanks for your respect, we really appreciate it" and that got me wondering if they had been booed offstage on previous shows.. any ideas?
From: Octu2 on 2005-08-01 23:17:15
They said that at our concert too. There was some guy not being very nice to them when we were there, but they held it together pretty well I think. someone kept yelling "Just bring out U2" and another kept yelling Gloria all the time. Not nice. Also, there were hardly any people watching them. I thought that was sad,as I thought they were pretty good.
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-08-02 08:30:34
Well on the second night I could see them plus the front audience so I had a better view... they did get into with someone down there....except the eff word was flying back and forth!!....but it looked like there were people getting into them especially this redheaded tall gal she knew all the words and was going basically ape sh--! lol....have to say the second night we missed half of their set....we parked really far and the line we were in was the slow pokey line....! Oct I don't know who will open either?....and I know your family likes the Killers but their sort of not my cup of tea...ooops sorry..!!....I wish Jimi hendrix was stil alive and he was opening or vise-versa.....;))Now Thats what I call an efffing SHOW !!!!!!....lol......grrr

Well, band practises are on hold for a bit, as right now I'm on holiday!! Nothing mega or anything, just came over to the liverpool reigion to catch up with old pals, lol. I'd forgotten all about it, and with everything happening back home, i was a bit pissed off when i remembered, lol, but its good to be here!! even if i will be missing some awesome parties :( lol.. I should next be back online in about a week, and i'll be home the week after that, so I'll cya when I see ya!! *hugs to everyone* Have a nice summer :)
From: Octu2 on 2005-08-02 18:22:25
Bye for now Kat, have fun.... The killers are my sisters favorite, I think they are ok, I'm not as obcessed with them as her. I would rather see some unknown, who is good, then years later they are flying high. You can then say, I saw them when they opened for U2 and were nobody then. It will be interesting to see who it is. Ya Jimmy Hendrix would be good wouldn't it :)
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-08-04 01:13:24
Yeah Oct I know it always interesting to see who makes it and who is just flavor of the month...;)...... well Hendrix didn't make it physically but his music is just as vital today as it was in the 60's...the guy was absolutely prolific in his music....its amazing how much tracks he had in the can before he died....of course it got held up for years because of the lawsuits but lordy there is so much it boggles the mind!!!! And it has a flavor of rock jazz and blues just love him....lets see Hendrix... Stevie Ray Vaughn... Edge... Buddy Guy... of course Clapton and Jeff Beck and Jeff Healy...Jonny Lange...Chet Atkins....uh oh I'm in trouble cause I can think of so many great guitarists...hahaha hell I love Bonnie Raitt too...slide it sweet thing....she's a great singer too... grrrIs anybody watching the INXS find a new singer show? .... I thought I'd hate it cause I so loved Michael but damn if I'm not getting a kick out of it..... (this is my mouth... O ......I didn't think I'd care for it but theres a gal Jordan I think her name is.....ok this gal kicks A$$...... :))
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-08-04 01:17:21
oooops bye bye Kat ....have a nice summer Bono babe...in a Austin Powers voice "Oh do behave yourself"...... ;)) *huggles*
