I never said this would be an ok picture,as it could be taken wrong...but I have a real wicked sense of humor and my 15 year old and I have a super great time when we are together. I would totally let her plaster he whole room with any singer she liked. Basically it is very harmless. I feel for you and the French Chansons. That would suck in a big way. I like French rock ,but some of the old stuff is not cool. my daughter is a Larry girl and we had our computer set to the guys and Larry for a while. My husband and I love all sorts of music and MTV or VH 1 is always on. Remember, my husband was in a rock band when he was a student in Sweden. I always swore I would never be a nerdy out of it parent. My two girls love to hang out with me. I'll sit and watch videos with them and also know when to back off if they need some space from me. They also know that it doesn't make me a permissive parent. I guess it is because I'm more of an artistic person, and can enjoy many creative things, in music and other things. I feel bad for my nieces becuase there mom doesn't even know who U2 are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were at the table talking about my daughter going with us to see U2 and she said Who are they? I said "Your kidding me right? No. I listed all the songs from JT and others ,nothing rang a bell. Then I attempted to sing in a bad way "Beautiful Day" Finally bells went off!!!! That is an out of it parent that is nerballish. She would have a fit if she knew I just went to a punk rock concert with my sister!! BTW she is my exact age, so she should know who U2 are!! I was so irritated when her husband chimes into say that u2 were all drug addicts also. Clearly this parent/human needs to get out there more!!! anyway, I feel bad for you if your parents are out to lunch. I didn't always get along with my mom, but she loved all music and went to many concerts with my sister. She was with it in that way. maybe you can slowly introduce the music you like by playing the soft stuff first, then when you hook them that will be it!!

well I nearly fainted, we were at my uncle's and he turned The Joshua Tree on for me(his only u2 album, but still) and my mom was like after streets's was starting, HEY that's bono! ... Wait, are you the one who has the book that is called Converstions with ........ If so, next time your Dad is not being so nice,tell him that he should read a bit of this book. It is a good book to inform people about how he feels about his causes and his work. If the book is a bit too much,then print out some articles on all the stuff he is done. Bono is naturally charisamtic and people love him and follow him for pictures, I think even in the book he says that he doesn't like to be too mean to the photographers,since they have to make a living also. I really hate when people all jump on one aspect and say, he is this or that....then it becomes a recording and you hear eveyone saying it. For instance,the iPod comercial last Fall, even my brother in law,who loves U2 ,jumped on the band wagon so to speak and said" I'm so sick of that song and what a sell out that was" it wasn't until I told him that they didn't take a dime for it that he changed his mind a bit. If you love the band ,like us, then it really doesn't matter how many times they aired it for me :) I think the ones that are not informed are the ones that say super mean things about them, especially Bono. I typed "What is Bono doing here? Whatever he's doing, Edge's guitar is in the way." on the picture. I took them to school and showed it to EVERYONE I ran into. One friend started to call it "porn"... and got ADDICTED to it. I'm not kidding. Whenever it wasn't in her hands she was freaking out and shouting "WHERE'D IT GO?!?!" Scary, huh? Ingrid, I tried to fix this pic today but I wasn't very succesful.. There's that drums thing (what is that plate kind of thingy called? I don't know a single thing about drums) on the way. It was also hard to crop and cut this pic, and when I tried, it didn't look very good, you lost quite a big part of Bono with that, and then the picture lost its meaning.... But I will try it again as soon as I got back to university's computers (and have more time), I don't give up that easy!!! (I tried to do this with my own photoshop just a moment ago, but unfortunately my program keeps on falling). But I will try again...Hehee, btw, when I was playing with this today at the campus, two guys from my class came and saw what I was doing. I was a bit embarrassed first, then I just thought what the hell, let's see if they have a sense of humour... Other one didn't obviously have, since he asked me "have you taken your medicine today?" Ya, Ingrid our tickets say no cameras or recorders in the arena. People still do,and when I went to the concert in April, they never checked to see if I had anything!! When I went to see Green Day, they did pat people down, but they didn't touch my sister or I. I guess I could have taken a camera in there also. I may try to take a camera to the concert in November, but I'm so high up that it might be more of a pain than anything.Matt did you get the camera back??? That would not be cool if you didn't :(

Yes i got the camera back right after the show. They put a little numbered sticker on the camera and my ticket. So no chance to get a better camera back after the show ;) I think it works the same way at any other location. They can't trash your camera or something like that. So i encourage everyone to keep trying.
