And RE: Bono's smell (you ladies realize there are boys reading this right? ;-) )... in this particular instance he didnt have any particular scent. But when I met him in Denver earlier this year (ffor what I thought would be the highlight of the tour, HA!) he smelled ABSOLUTELY AND UTTERLY DELICIOUS. The scent just floored me. It truly was intoxicating. Thank god he didnt have it on when we danced or I might not have functioned... :P

I am starting to thing I am the devil too! I got extremely lucky in that the very first time I tried to meet him it worked. Well, I had stood outside the venue before Denver 1, but we left before he arrived. For Denver 2, as I am supposed to be going to the airport to catch my plane back, my friend adn I decide to go kill the 20-30 minutes we have to spare. Well lo and behold. He shows up. There werent that many of us there but not a lot of time. We were told to keep it short. I decide I want to ask for the Bonohug I have been wanting since 1992. Thankfully, I didnt have to ask. The second he got to me, before I could say anything, he says "hi sweeeeeetheaaaart" as he is already resting his cheek against mine and then kissing it. As I kissed him back, he rubbed my back in lil circles and did a little growl/moan sound right in my ear. Now combine that with the cologne and try to not have your knees buckle. Not an easy thing. As far as which cologne it was, I am not sure. I THINK it was BLV... And ok, you're gonna hate me, but I also had a couple of things happen in Toronto...*runs out before she gets lynched*

Before Toronto 4, the Make Poverty History volunteers were passing out banners that said MPH in french and english for us to raise during One. A guy from Mexico I had met there casually said, we should write in Spanish. Having nothing better to do for the next 8 hours, I sat down on the sidewalk and wrote it on his sign and mine not expecting ANYTHING to come out of it. Well, I think it was the end of streets, and people started to raise their banners cause B was making a trip down the elipse. Looked for my sign, it was down under someone's foot. I grab it and raise it at the exact point B is walking by. Well, with my long money arms he noticed it right away and next thing I know, he's down on one knee right in front of me and is shoving a microphone on my face. I said "Make Poverty Sadness"... I was kicking myself all of the rest of the evening, sunday and monday. So most people didnt get it at the venue, I know. But I was just picturing the bootleg coming out and people in Mexico, Spain et al going who in the flying hell is this idiot.So fast forward to Chicago 1. I went to the loading docks. The set up there is awful, nothing like Denver. So basically 90% of the people that get to meet them, do so through a chain link fence. I had a spot on the fence and hung my little sign just for kicks. Well, Bono pulls up, he gets out and goes straight for my sign. He's laughing and saying "Free Spanish lessons!" I very cooly and collected smile and say "so, I was the girl that spoke in spanish the other day in Toronto and guess what? You made me nervous so I said the wrong thing. I have been horrified ever since" He laughed and said something like "you did?" at this point he's singing something for someone, but still standing in front of me. I said "yup, totally embarrased" He laughed again and said something like it's alright! and continued on. I whip my hear around to see Bono coming toward me out of nowhere and peeking down into the security pit as he is saying "aand hmmm Mysterious Dancer... oh no Dances!... I want you to say something for me..." and he thinks and says something like "say There can be more than one First Time". Yes, I did hear his singing voice... Good god that man is just delicious...And that may be a good idea for a sign! I was debating making a new one, but I think I'm better off staying with the tried and true. That way maybe the combination of the sign and me will joggle his memory whereas if I change the sign hey may not. My mom is from Panama,so Spanish was my first language actually. My dad is Canadian,and he speaks fluent Spanish,so when we were little kids that is what we spoke,until we started school. I re-listened the last parts of the vid... I really can't hear god bless you there.. :S... I think that just the name is miroslava, is too much for him... I don't think he'd get the link...

hehe or maybe he'd make you spell it, and you wouldnt hear him again.. but why didn't you tell him you couldn't hear him? also if you meet him again, you should say that you can't hear him very well when you're onstage... that he knows it at least, and for the girls he pulls onstage during next shows... maybe they can do something about it...

I think some of the deafness is psychological when you're up there. And I think I did ask him what he was saying. You can see me say something to him, he repeats it and I still dont hear. At this point I just assumed he was sending me off so I did the kiss and run :P
