I think he is scared and his parents are living through him, cause they couldn't get up there :)Taht poor little guy might not even know who Bono is and why he is covering his eyes. Unless anyone has the true story behind this???

I took this picture and the story is that Bono pulled the kid (Owen) up on stage during Sunday Bloody Sunday. Then they went into Bullet and he asked Owen to "...take him to safty." So then he put the blindfolr over his eyes and they walked to the tip of the Ellipse. At the tip he asked Owen to take the blindfold off of him and then thanked Owen for "rescuing" him. Later in the show Bono again called out to Owen and thew his sunglasses in the Ellipse saying "These are for Owen."

how else could he wear them the next day?matt: can you maybe delete the comments of that nub placing random comments on glasgow pics? I really can't remember our home pics very well, and we lost them all now because of his egolomania! no off to the guy, but more a big offense to my messy mind... and his comments are quite random tho

I actually play basketball with that boy's father. I saw him the day after the concert wearing Bono's glasses. He knows exactly who Bono is. The sweetest part is Owen's father John is a huge fan of U2 and has been for years. I asked John if he was excited to have Bono's sunglasses and he said, "I don't have them, my son does - They're Owens glasses, thats who Bono gave them to." U2 is John's generation and not his son's, but to see that kind of selflessness is truly amazing...BTW that kid had a blast...he wasn't scared.

eerrrrrrr one thing... u2 is his dad's generation??? WHAT does that make us??? hellooooooo they're still there so also our generation!!! also if I'd get hiss shades I wouldn't hand them to my dad either... hehe I'd wear them forever! hmm I wonder if anything can top this moment in the kid's life... he's so young.. allready met Bono.... what can top that?
From: fanny on 2005-11-04 17:18:07

hmmmmno?
From: Susanne on 2005-11-04 18:50:03
Uhuh... Yeah, let's not talk about "whose generation" U2 is, I would say they have managed to attract many people despite which age they are.... Hehee, let's put Adam and Edgie into that too, as much as I would love to meet Bono, it would be even greater to meet the whole U2...
From: Ingrid on 2005-11-04 18:55:55
hmm meet them alll allooooooneeee.... I really can die of the stories of u2 fans meeting them alooone... they're soo much cooler than when there are lot of persons... maybe one by one? ME want bono hug!
