I would feel a bit lost if I were so far away from the stage...it would be like: yaaay, Bono right there in front of me! wait, is that really Bono or the edge? But I guess you hear the sound very good wherever your seats are, and that's the most important thing..or?

I was at this gig in Dublin, it was INCREDIBLE!! The reason this photo looks fairly high up & far away is the sheer size of the stadium!! Dublin's CROKE PARK STADIUM is possibly one of the biggest ARENA'S in EUROPE!!(i think Barcelona's NOU CAMP-would probably be a tad bigger).Irish GAELIC football & hurling are played here(also the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND soccer team will play their EUROPEAN QUALIFYING games here in 2007)The actual pitch, stadium & facilities are owned by the G.A.A.-Gaelic Athletic Association. I arrived into the stadium on the Saturday afternoon of the gig-i walked onto the pitch and i couldn't believe the size of the stands leaning overhead!(pitch is huge also, by the way)Also, i believe that the stadium is pretty new; as the G.A.A. spent millions of euro renovating it.There's going to be a hell of a lot of Irish fans cheering on their soccer team here! The capacity is 86,000 i think. This picture looks like the back stand, hence-it looks far away.

While we're on the the soccer theme here..did you know that Larry Mullen Jnr co-wrote and produced the 1990 Republic of Ireland World Cup Squad's theme song 'Put 'em under Pressure'...(he's an avid Irish football fan, and attended Irelands 1990,1994 and 2002 World Cup games)..answer truthfully if you didn't know!
