Maybe his shoes were hurting him again :( anyone have a story for this out there??? It looks as if he is saying ,"Take it away Mr. The Edge, while I take a rest here for a bit.Lay off his Tummy Diego.
From: Mr PieMan on 2005-10-13 22:11:37
have you noticed that bono's been eating all my pies ? he's looking ragged and a little pot bellied these days ? must be all the rich food he's eating with those politicians from the White House and Number 10....and of course my Porkie Pies....ha ha ha
From: Octu2 on 2005-10-13 22:25:26
OK Soulie, It is time to get this person and pumel him until he runs to his Mummy. Lay off!!!
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-10-14 04:57:39
He has no mummy....he's a pod incubus that never new his own Uranus from the neighboring planet Moondick.... grrr..OMG ...*tell me I didn't just say that?*....holy molies!

zk to Pie...... come on man! bring something a little bit more interesting to the show than daft comments about B's tummy. i have rolled against the rub of the green (probably more than i should have) on this site...but you are just being a moronic unimaginative grimace speedstick...why don't you talk about the music instead?
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-10-14 10:02:21
Zk just wanted to ask have you listened to the Les Paul and friends CD ? I think you'd really like it....I think it kicks butt ..thought you might like it..... ;))
From: Susanne on 2005-10-14 12:58:02
Bono -confused- points at Edge: "Where did he come from?"...And about Bono's belly: Leave it alone man and just take care of your own tummy...
From: zk on 2005-10-14 15:09:30
i have heard of the album... but never bought it cos as far as i am aware edge didn't appear on any of the trax...i may be mistaken though.. anyone else out their seen who is going to play the next James Bond role ? he's a blond haired englishman....he's got his work cut out matching Connery et Brosnan....also heard on Sky news a rumour that U2 might write the title track to the movie due out next year..this is unsubstantiated though...( so no doubt its just aimless rumour mongering...)..U2 were on Sky & BBC news last night aswell about the political fundraising issue ...its good to see them on the box again...over and out...

Zk I read where you named people you were into and a lot of the same guitar cats I like also... so I thought you might dig it.... ;)Pleeeez don't get me started on Daniel Craig .....I'm a part of a huge Bond Site and we are basically going nuts that they picked this *not very goodlooking fellow* sorry if your a fan but I haven't found to many people that are happy about this at all!!! Jeez there gonna tiolet sink the franchise in one fell swoop!!!!....*mad grrr*
From: zk on 2005-10-14 17:46:52
yeh...i love the guys who play guitar...and although i think Larry M is top guy ( and i love his long hair ...in a very hetero kind of way )...i don't believe its all about drums...i'm more of big guitars....Johnson/Clapton at the crossroads...meeting up with Hendrix and the Edge....as for Bond and DC...i just can't see how the franchise are going to get away with this...it sure is daring..bold and unpredictable...but those are not the criterion that have made BOND into the most sellable franchise movie machine of all time....Colin Firth or Farrell or Clive Owen would have makde much more sense....actually, i'll go as far as to say that DC looks like he'd be well cast as the baddie in the Bond movie...But not our good ol James...surely not..!bah humbug says ZK
From: Susanne on 2005-10-14 19:32:43
I'm not sure have I seen any of this new Bond-player's films, so I don't know whether he is a good actor, but I think Bond-actor should be somebody with charisma all over him (like Connery, Brosnan) and I don't think this new one has it...
From: Octu2 on 2005-10-14 20:13:32
Ok first off the only James bond in my book is Sean Connery! second, maybe and I do mean maybe is Pierce Brosnan. Roger Moore, NOOOO. The new guy they picked is a super actor,I've seen him on a lot of BBC stuff, but I do agree that he doesn't comand the Bond experiece!! I think ZK had a good line up for possibilities. Clive owen would be my first pick. Well, when the first movie he does tanks,....maybe we will get someone else. Look how many Batmans we had!! On that front, my faves are, that last guy who did it,name excapes me at the moment. Then Michael Keaton. Not a fan of George Clooney,so I hated him as batman. Does anyone else hate George Clooney's slight head bobbing thing????I'm a big time string person!!!!!!!!my husband and I have many times discussed all the guitar players out there and how the instant you hear the guitar you know who it is!!! Drumming not so much, but string instruments rule!!!!! I'm venturing off to classical land in a couple of weeks and going to see my favorite violin player,"Hillary Hahn" in Berekely. When you hear this beautiful young woman play the violin your heart almost aches with the passion that she plays.I'm taking my 15 year old,who has been playing violin since she was 9. She did tell me she would have much rather have gone to Green Day with me,but I think she will come around when she hears this girl play live. Speaking of Green Day, The guitar playing in the Greenday group was pretty good and I must say I was impressed, they almost have a signiature sound.I was more impressed when they invited the teenagers up on the stage to play and they did such a wonderful job...Any teenage boys dream!!" Then when Billie Joe let him keep the guitar!!,Well that was priceless.Count me in on the strings club. Do you guys like Santana's playing?

Ok the site I'm on for Bond and the the guy I was for (although he never said he wanted it) was Gerard Butler....(whoopee big surprize!! haha) he got 44,000 votes with only one vote counting per/day and Craig only got 258 votes....I think that says it all....! Nether Cilve nor Christain Bale (Batman) nor Collin came close to Gerard.... I know of at least 6 voting sites and Gerard led them all... The gal that runs the Entertainment Casting Dept at Disney said her choice would be Gerry in a flash.... Broccoli must be losing it because this is going to be a disaster....I just finished reading Cassino Royal and the book is pretty bland reading so they better spruce up the script or I see doomsday for Bond!.... *the PeterSellers one was crazy as all get out but I loved him*.... :)~...btw Pierce made that franchise one and a half billion dollars with his four movies....I think that says alot.... *kiss' to Pierce*....Oh Zk about the political fund raising....if your talking about the cat that is selling his box seats to U2 concert for a wad of cash for his political gain? hey I can say these politicians will do anything over here to make a buck and they don't care who's back they walk across to do it either...talk about rude and distastful this is it !!! hope thats what your referring to?By the way Oct I'm not a huge fan of George's acting ability (some I like and some I don't)but i do love him in the political arena.... he stands up to alot of that crap thats always being touted by some big mouth TV pundants!!! I say Hurrah!! Hurrah!! I get so sick of those loud mouthed purple people eaters!.....I wish he'd bite their heads off for a change.... hahaha ok Twilight zone moment THAR ..dadada dadada dddadaa<<<< thats weird twilight zone music.... ;))I've seen Santana live four times.... with three different singers....but there always super...he has a house about one mile from me.....I think its his summer home though...Oct don't kill me but I'm not a Greenday fan..... sorry ....I'm more of an Audioslave fan now that guy Chris Cornell is.... "Lady's start your engine's varoooom varooom" ....ya know what I mean???hahahaZk are you talking about Robert Johnson or Eric Johnson? just kidding...hahaha I have Crossroads and its killer diller...did you see the movie? I 'll ask some trivia do you know who did the hotlicks in the movie?????grrrrOMG I'm full of hot air tonight!!!....

You know Soulcat, I wasn't a big Greenday fan either until I saw them live. WOW is all I can say. Very talented group of guys. BUT would I go out of my way and kill my self to get tickets like for our boys, NO. now my sister is very happy in the Greenday camp, but she loves U2 with all her heart also. I connect more to U2 for their lyrics and the way they lead their lives. Also very easy on the eye ;) Being and artist myself though, I can appreciate Greenday's talent. That little Billie Joe is a firecracker I tell ya and he has beautiful eyes!! body wise well, too skinny but he gets points for getting the hell out of Rodeo California and making a good life for himself. Anyway I'm not trying to sway ya on them,it is just that when I gave them a chance I was so surprised. It is like when people go into museums and start dissing the abstract art. The thing I hate the most is hearing someone say"My kid could do that." BTW, new de Young museum in SF, is killer. Speaking of Art :) I'm a member and got a sneak peak before it opens today!! World class!! On more thing on Greenday Soulcat, do you not like any of their new stuff? I think the new one has a bit of everything in it. This comment is all over the place, sorry for that.

Well hun i didn't like them and I sort of don't care for his looks ( I like He-men...flexes biceps...hahaha) anyways I bought the cd because I own alot of music and I was willing to give them a shot....it is the new one....but I tried really i did....*looks sheepish* ..hun I listen to Joe Cocker Tom Jones Billy Idol INXS Lenny Kravitz . *I love Bono and Elvis and Stones* the Beatles naturally .....Concrete Blonde ..Janice Joplin..Tom Petty Neville Borthers Santana Led Zepelin...older Van Morrison ....alot of blues Eric Burdon Buddy Guy Paul Rodgers Sammy Hager Stones Hendrix..Cream & Traffic with all the old Clapton and Jeff Beck Stevie Winwood all the guys that came out of John Mayall's bands Ten Years AfterMoody Blues The Who Pink Floyd ..Stevie RayVaughn Pete Drodge Doors Jonny Lang Bob Dylan Neil Young Righteous Brothers Aretha Franklin Ray Charles James Brown Sam Cook Al Green and Steve Miller Michael McDonald Josh Groban Dwight Yoakam whom by the way Larry could do a duet with and they would sound way cool together.... jazz Miles Davis Sarah Vaughn Grover Washington of course Billie Holiday and I listen to opera oh heck I could go on forever...I think all together in my house we must have... *cringes ok please don't think were freaks ok* ....2 or 3 thousand cds and tapes...and that doesn't include the LPs.....*don't look at me like that we are freaks!!!! * :)~ OMG I'm a pack rat !.....so Greenday is sort of at the bottom...sorry darn it I wish I did... *kitty says sorry a million times...maybe next year I will like them... that happens to me.... :))

Hey no problem, you gave it the good old college try!!! I don't think I would pal out with the guy since he tends to get in a bit of trouble at times because I must say I'm more of a straight laced kind of gal. I just think he has an interesting face and great eyes. Body not even at a level that I would find attractive(my hubby's body looks very much like Mr. The Edges). But hey I'm impressed that you gave them a try girlfriend. WOWzers on how many cds you have!!!! Do you have them all in a row on the wall or neatly alphabetized in a cool storage spot. mine are a mess at the moment and I have no where near that many. I like a bit of everything, only things that are off my list are Rap/hip hop and heavy metal. Not fond of country music at all. BUT I love Johnny Cash and Lorretta Lynn...oh and Patsy Kline sp? Maybe if you get dragged to one of Greendays concerts some time, like I did, then you will change your mind :)
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-10-17 06:42:31
Woot Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline do love them. sing "Crazy for feeling so bluuuuuu" by the way thats written by Willie Nelson whom has written some absolute classics.... :)) ...not big on Country but then alot of blues is country mixed example like the Allman Brothers<<< (LUV them) and The Band...Buffalo Springfield...Neil Young..Fogerty Creedance, these all have country influence but there kick butt rock too so its kind of hard to categorize...and of course then you slip into gospal and I love Mahalia Jackson(she goes way back) but she could bring me too tears.....hard core!!!I I'll tell you when I heard Larry sing he sings with a twang and he would sound so good with Dwight ...wish I could tell him to do a duet together !!! I hate modern rap but I must say if its the old time rap like Eric Burdon rapp'n out Tabacco Road or one of the old blues songs OH YEAH BABY I'm sooo thar!!!! :)~Well my man doesn't look like any of U2 thats for sure....first off he's 6'3 so (giggle) and he IS IRISH but he looks Italian how weird is THAT!hahahaha His build is all upper torso.... :)) He's not ROCKY but if he'd work out he could be there in a pinch... *kitty pinches his butt! woot hihi* You ask about order in my house....*laughing hysterically wipes tears* ok first off there are 4 men here and they are all slobs ...OK! Enough said! ...I do have cabinets everywhere *remember I have a shlu full of dolls* and I have about ten thousand books too and research filing cabinets full .....one of the guys collects comics comic action figures baseball cards GI joes...and one guy has guitars and bass's and amps and all the crap to go with it....so its a mess...oh yeah he collects frick'n guitar magazines too....woot looking at Edge on the cover of one from where I sit ! If they would just put the damn DVD's back where they got them the video tapes and the CD's it would work out fine ...but they take them to there part of the house and then all hell breaks loose!!!! About the only thing that stays orderly is the tape cassettes filling the back wall behind the bar in the family room nobody gives a hang for them now so they stay pretty much in order!! *whew* I put little fancy stickers in the corner of my stuff so if someone swipes it I can identifying my sh-- when I go on a hunt!!! hahaha...*its a mad house I say* ;)) We ARE all pack rats!!!!....No wonder we're always bitchng about being broke we buy too much crap!!! hihihihiI watched greenday live at the benefit concerts and his eye makeup was dripping down his face....*sort of said ick* ..reminded me of the guy in the Cure (but in defense of them I have some Cure songs off movie soundtracks that are absolutely killer diller) .....hey Oct you ever listen to early Iggy Pop or early David Bowie or the Ramones?......*waves* grrooops forgot ...Heavy Metal is like Metallica...? ick they are opening for the Stones and I'm like " oh Noooo" ...who else is in heavy metal? Not sure....is Nine Inch Nails? (like them) ...is the Cult? (like them) is Audio Slave and Soundgarden? (like them too) is Guns and Roses? {like them}...uh oh I'm not sure who the heavy metals are.....give me a list and I can decide??? I'm not sure who is...."heck I never watch MTV anymore I'm out of the loop!!!"....grrrr

Soulie your house sounds kinda like I would think it would if you live where I think you do ;) Lots of fun and interesting stuff everywhere and people that are cool to hang with. I went to Humboldt State University, way in the friggen north. Soooo, if I think I know where you are from, the two are very similar. I have super fun memories of college days up there. It's a bit like threes company plus one at your place huh?! What does your guy think about your obsession :) You know what is funny about music, once you start saying you don't like something, then there is that ONE exception in the genre that you go"Wait, that's not so bad" I like the Cure a lot, matter of fact, my daughter and I were listening to them at the bookstore music section. She loves them. When you mentioned Neil Young It made me remember this guy that I worked with at Humboldt. He was a Neil Young fanatic and kinda looked like him!! He was a true hoot to work with, we had to laugh at something in our retarded work study job. We seemed to be surrounded by a lot of characters at that school, my husband's roomies were this pack of guys that were obsessed with"The Grateful Dead" They had this halloween mask on the phone that looked like Gerry Garcia! We were told that if we answer the phone there, we had to say, "this is the Gerry Garcia phone" if we didn't there was hell to pay. My husband was not a GG fan so he was not amused. Those guys were always drugged out so I don't think he ever suffered the penalty that they said they would give. AHHH fun times in another care free time of my life :)Hey Soulcat, have you read very much about that author that goes by JT Leroy? I read this article today about how this person is faking who they really are? They think it isn't a guy after all and it is a woman named Laura Albert? What have you heard about this, any thoughts? The article said that Bono was a fan as well as other celbs. Interesting read, now I'm curious. I enjoyed reading your comment Soulie :)
