Zk welcome back here^^ look, this just got posted on the main page::::Originally, dates were posted on U2's official website to take place in January 2006 but with the addition of US and European dates, that the band are now expected to be doing shows in March at the same time as the Commonwealth Games. ADDITIONAL EU AND US DATES!!!!! gawd I SO hope they're coming back! ohhh come back to holland boys!!!!! I hope I didn't read this the wrong way... or else I'm happy for nothin...

aha...i think that i've been a bit confused...i read the post "U2 soon to announce Australian dates in March" posted on Nov 8 and understood that the January dates were being pushed back to March cos the band has decided to play addition N.American & Euro dates early 2006....but i having read what you guys have to say ... i reckon the additional dates they were talking about are those which have already been added to the 2005 calendar...for an optimist though...i was kinda hoping that my primary assumption was the good one...but now i fear that we won't see the guys back in ZOOROPE early next year...thats just too bad! anyhow, i'm looking forward to receiving my pre-ordered VERTIGO dvd...has anyone seen or heard any news about when the Milan gig is coming out on dvd...it'll be interestign to see how the inside and outside shows compare...being a zooropean....on the wrong side of the pond to get tickets for N.american shows, i've never seen a full length gig...although i do have a few good bootlegs incl ELEVATION from the Air Canada centre TORONTO back in May 2001...the sound quality is superb.hang on! duh...what the hell am i whittering on about...of course i've seen a show...i got the EVELEVATION show from BOSTON...i'm only 29 and i'm losing my marbles...mind but NOT my christmas spirit...its jut getting warmed up. anyone for a roasted chestnut ? by the way, what are you guys thinking about the guest appearances on stage during the shows...notably MJ Blige dueting with Bono ? i guess for hard core fans, one has seen "one" being played enough times for to enjoy a different rendition...but this topic takes me back to the very first time i saw Chuck Berry in concert at the Playhouse in Edinburgh...he let a mate of his come on stage and sing Johnny Be Good with him...it was a bit dissappointing not to have seen chuck and his band sing it and play it on their own....because for me...it was ( prior to the show ) due to be the highlight of the show...as it turned out...PROMISED LAND turned out to be the show stopper...so, to those who said it was to see me back...thanks...its good to be back home for a while...although these are very uneasy times for us all in france...foreigners and locals alike...times are tough..althoguh down here in the south...we are largely unscathed by whats going on further north in the nations capital....its a real mess...but heh, its almost christmas...and i'm looking forward to reading what Oct had to say about her much anticipated date with the band last night at the Oakland gig...over and out

Hi ZK if you want to know how the show went in Oakland,soulcat and I have chatted about it on another photo,one of the black and white ones. If it gets lost and you don't see it,it was a very amazing night and I still haven't quite figured out how to put it into words yet. My husband and I were thinking that most of it was Bono's extra beautiful voice.Today I listened to Achtung baby in the car and realized that his voice sounds a bit rough,yet cool on the album,and last night he sang like no other!!! He hit every song in the right way and I'm still on a high from it. I agree with everyone on here about only Bono singing "One" I was so disappointed when she helped him sing it on the hurricane Katrina benefit. She sang it again in Vegas I guess,and also the guys from the "Killers" went up. I was almost wondering if Billie Joe from Greenday would show up,since he lives in Oakland. Turns out if I heard Bono correctly,he thanked certain celebs that were there and Greenday was one of them. I guess Sean Penn was there last night along with Robin Williams,and Lance Armstrong. They must have been in the private boxes since I used my high powered binoculars and I didn't see anyone close to the stage that looked famous. So there were no guests at ours,but the Boys rocked the house so well, that no one needed to be up there but them last night. Mr.The Edge was simply on fire man!! When they played ZOO Station it was incredible. It sounded like when I turn it up super loud in my car and you are zooming down the highway.Sushi, is your mom really thinking of moving to France? Let me know I could give you a few tips :) Brittany and Normandy are certainly beautiful,there really isn't a part of France that is not,so you can't go wrong. But you need to stay way from the bad parts of town in Paris right now!!:( Part of where they are burning up stuff is near the cool Paris Flea markets! sushi, Mary j. blidge is a big RnB star. She has a great voice and the guys are big fans of her. Remember one year at the Grammys or something where she sang her hit "No more drama" and Edge got totally nuts there in front row. So funny. And I thought: Wowi this guy really knows how to rock even withouth a guitar hanging on his hip ;-)You sure know her songs. They were played a lot over the radio. I saw her back in 1997 in London at a concert where rocksongs from 30years were played and she sang duett with some others and she was GREAT!!!!!! She wasnt such a big star than she sang more HipHop stuff I would say. But now that she changed her style she really got it going. Havent heard any new stuff from her for some time. And I like the version of One with her. I think you can download it at (oh, Ingird help the site where all the video and apperances from different Tvshows are.....gaaawd my head is a totall mess!!!!) Anyway I love it. And I think that One is played enough on tours. I want to see a show without it. THey could play Kite or Wild Honey or Discoteque and kick One. I think that MJB should leave "One" to U2 and not market it into something else. Johnny Cash is huge here in the States still and Bono really respects him a lot, so that is a neat pairing and he didn't sing a song that was so popular to U2. Glad to hear that it is quiteing down in France with the riots. We have been following it closely since my dear hubby has to go back to France in a week. The company's wearhouse is near the airport,so there are some concerns. Hopefully by the time he goes there next week it won't be that bad. If you read Sushi's other comment she made an error in the price of the Chateau. It was 550,000 euros. Even that price sounds tempting,since that price in California Bay Area you would get a very tiny tract house.
