Comments: In U2 By U2, Edge describes the band's drinking exploits with Oasis, who supported U2 at their two Oakland shows. Edge does not make it clear after which show the events occurred, but we believe them to be after the second show. The two bands went out drinking into the small hours of the morning (i.e. early on 20 July 1997). Noel Gallagher proclaimed his love for One just before it came on the radio, and he, his brother Liam, Bono, and Edge all got up and sang along. Bono then ended up singing operatic arias while standing on the bar - the specific arias are unknown.
